Our Vision

A unique high-profile new platform for whole-body health research and scholarship at MIT, the Center for Healthful Longevity, explores the scientific underpinnings of human resiliency, inspiration, imagination, and insight.   MIT has a distinguished record of achievement and global impact, mixing daring innovation with scientific knowledge and technical expertise to solve problems and improve people’s lives. 

“Healthful longevity” aspires to define good health as more than absence of physical disease, exploring the intersection of the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of health. This center will bring together some of the world’s best and most creative investigators to deeply explore the science underlying the mind-body connection and inspire innovative technologies that could ignite humanity’s inner potential for a thriving and harmonious existence.
